Master Your Practice

Whether you are just beginning your yoga journey or you are a seasoned yogi, know that there is a sure fire way to master your yoga practice that lies beyond countless hours on the mat. There is a path to attaining alignment in all positions, to developing your attention, to controlling your breath, and to opening your mind and heart where physical flexibility is not really the main focus or goal.

Master Your Practice (MYP) workshops are a way to further explore your body, breath, and poses. Through a mindful and detailed break down of each, as well as through utilization of modifications and props, you will work with Nichole and class peers to further develop your unique expression of your practice. In each workshop, you will dissect poses and learn the secrets to a healthy, strong, well-aligned practice that will result in a heightened awareness of your overall self.

This intensive workshop will be broken down into 2 parts over 2 days for the sole purpose of working in layers.

 

Day 1: Saturday 27th May 11.00am – 2.00pm

1 – Breath, Drishti, and Foundations: Learn how to safely and effectively practice pranayama (breath) and drishti (gaze) This will enhance your control of your body and lightness in yoga practice, deepen meditation and promote higher consciousness. It’s all about energy!

2 – The Art of Standing Asanas: Learn the necessary actions and arrows of movement to perform strong and stable Standing Poses.

 

Day 2: Sunday 28th May 11.00am – 2.00pm

3 -Bandha: Learn where your 3 major bandhas (energetic body locks) are and understand the importance of why and how the use of a bandha practice will drastically improve the quality of your yoga practice.

4- Advance Asana: Learn to overcome fear and limitations in advance poses such as, arm balances and inversions. An excellent opportunity for you to advance your practice and receive focused assistance with difficult postures.

Nichole Ferro is a genuine yoga practitioner and devoted yoga teacher, health and spiritual coach and Reiki Master. She began her yoga journey in 2009 and her passion for the art kept growing. Nichole received her yoga certification under the eye of well respected, Jimmy Barkan and continued her education with various renowned yoga teachers such as Baron Baptiste and Shiva Rae. She is most passionate about people, helping and healing others through yoga, nutrition and Reiki. She has been trained by the world’s largest nutrition school; The Institute of Integrative Nutrition. Here she studied over 100 dietary theories, practical lifestyle management techniques, and innovative coaching methods with some of the world’s top health and wellness experts. Her Reiki Certification was passed down to her through 10 generations starting with the Reiki Master, Dr. Mikao Usui.
Nichole’s commitment is to inspire others to realise their own gifts and powers and to step fully into their most brilliant self. Her dynamic yet soft presence, enthusiasm, intensity, and humour, coupled with her a knowledge, and sensitivity will lead you through a practice of yoga and wellness that is genuine, personally rewarding, and well-rounded in every aspect.
